Homemade Yema Cake

Yesterday, I try to make yema cake. I am not an expert in baking (actually sinisimulan ko pa  lang gawin ang pinagaralan ko noon sa negoskwela) kaya lagi akong nagpapractice ng baking. But sad to say, mahirap kasi wala pa akong oven. Kaya kahit wala pa akong gamit ay hindi ito hadlang para hindi ko magawa ang gusto kong gawin. 

Anyway, as usual sa rice cooker ko naman niluto ang yema cake. Ok naman ang pagkaluto ngunit hindi lang siya masyadong ngexpand kaya siksik ang laman ng cake ko. 

Here's the ingredients.

     3 cups all purpose flour
     1 cup sugar (1 cup lang nilagay ko para hindi masyado matamis)
     1 tbsp baking powder
     1/2 dry milk 
     1 1/4 cups water
     1 1/2 tsp vanilla
     1/2 cup butter 
     3 eggs 

     For yema:

     2 eggyolk
     1 condensed milk 
     1/2 tsp vanilla
     grater cheese 


     Procedure: Combine all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and milk in a bowl. Add the water, vanilla, butter and the eggs. Beat with an electric mixer for two more minutes. And place the mixture in ricec ooker and cooked for about 30 minutes or until the inserted toothpick comes out clean. (Note: after magwarm ang rice cooker ilagay uli ito sa cook para maluto ang cake.)
For yema: Place the condensed milk in a pot and then add the egg and vanilla. Continue stirring for two minutes. Kapag luto na ang cake, pour the yema mixture on top and sprinkle with grated cheese. 
Then serve. 





Masarap naman ang lasa niya at matamis. Tama lang na 1 cup sugar lang ang nilagay ko dahil matamis na ang yema mixture. I made this because, its my father birthday yesterday para meron naman kaming merinda dito sa bahay. Actually, until now meron pa din dahil dalawa lang kaming kumakain nito at hindi agad namin ito mauubos.
